UI and UX design for fitness app used in gym
preprocessing
The client, Mannva Group from South Africa, wanted to design a new product called Manuva, a mobile app for professional fitness professionals and gym members. The main purpose of this app is to help users find a personal trainer at the gym that suits them, and book a trial class without joining a specific gym. Users will be able to discover the nearest gyms, personal trainers and classes through the in-app map or list, and users can filter the nearest available gyms, personal trainers and classes by distance and time sorting. For fitness industry practitioners, this app can be used as a tool for maintaining and operating customers. For users, this tool mainly helps them find fitness services that are right for them. The app, called Manuva, also offers in-app payments when classes, fitness and personal training are finalized.
Mannva Group wanted their app to be designed to be vibrant and youthful, and to provide users with a clear onboarding tutorial for new users. In addition, they additionally require designers to pay attention to the design of the navigation to ensure that users can effortlessly find the information and content they are looking for.
UX design
After understanding all the information and requirements, the designer completes the idea and begins to draw wireframes. Through wireframes, the designer presents the layout of each screen of the APP in a highly simplified and refined manner, which can quickly and visually outline the information architecture of the entire APP, ensuring that subsequent development and customers have a clear understanding of the project structure. . Also, wireframes are relatively inexpensive to modify if the client wants to make modifications.
This is the wireframe of Manuva's app. The designer came up with the basic layout, including the login interface and home screen.
The client requested that some primitive functionality be incorporated into the login interface to ensure that users can discover information in Manuva without having to register. That's why designers add a "Desicover Manuva" button below the login button to give users an extra option. In addition, in order to make the user's personal information more personalized, during the login process, the user can also select their target in a targeted manner.
